Sam joined the Mossy Oak team in November, 2019, and brings with him 40 years of experience as a consulting forester in the Ark-La-Tex. His love of the forestry profession was kindled in the environment of his family's South Arkansas based timber growing and lumber manufacturing business and was formalized with a BS Degree in Forest-Business in 1976 and Master of Forestry degree from Mississippi State in 1978. After graduating from Mississippi State, he was hired as a Forest Economist for Potlach Corporation's Southern Division in Warren, AR before taking a job as Raw Materials Manager for Bruce Hardwood Floors in Center, Texas. In 1984, Sam purchased the oldest consulting forestry firm in Louisiana and operated it as The Crawford Forestry Group, Inc. until it merged with another firm in 2015. In April, 2018, Sam reopened his own shop with the formation of Crawford Forest Resource Management, LLC and obtained his Louisiana Real Estate License shortly thereafter. With extensive experience managing timberland and recreational properties, Sam joins the Mossy Oak Properties of Louisiana team to bring a unique set of qualifications and experience to the real estate business.
