This recent cutover has been managed properly for a timber investment. Having been completely cleared of all timber then re-planted in loblolly pine saplings and sprayed to ensure the saplings survival, this tract is set up for the timber investor. The saplings looked healthy and growing strong with a good survival rate in their second year of being in the ground. This land is laid out with a high ridge on the West half that slopes down in to a flat bottom to the East. The adjacent properties are hardwood creek flats and pine thickets that house and feed plenty of different wildlife species. Fresh deer and hog sign were abundant throughout the clearcut with heavy laden trails to and from the surrounding tracts. The perimeter of this “forty” has been marked and painted with good corner markers. It would be easy to establish a trail system throughout the tract as well as on the perimeters given its early successional stage.
